Registered Sexual Offender List
The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) notifies the Wichita State University Police Department of registered offenders attending classes, employed by, or teaching at the University. The list is updated each semester or upon additional registration notifications.
The Campus Sex Crimes Prevention Act of 2000 (CSCPA), which amends the Jacob Wetterling Crimes Against Children and Sexually Violent Offender Registration Act, requires higher education institutions to identify where information provided by a State concerning registered sex offenders may be obtained. It also requires sex offenders to provide notice to each higher education institution if the sex offender lives on campus, is employed by, carries a vocation, or is a student at the school. In Kansas, convicted sex offenders must register with their local Sheriff’s Office.
If you wish to review a hard copy of the list, stop by the Wichita State University Police Department between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday.
You may check names through the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, or through the Sedgwick County Sheriff Office.
The registered offenders that meet the criteria set forth in the CSCPA of 2000 for the Fall 2024 semester can be found here.
