The Interfraternity Council Executive Board is currently monitoring the coronavirus in the state of Kansas. As of right now, our fraternities are allowed to host public recruitment events at their facility, in a virtual format, or in public places. Chapters are expected to abide by all local, state and federal laws, including the wearing of face coverings when social distancing is not able to happen.
The Interfraternity Council is able to recruit 365 days a year and does not have a formal process. We recommend that you research and learn about all of our seven (7) fraternities before making your decision. Below are recommendations for how to have a successful recruitment experience.
The Interfraternity Council does not host a formal recruitment at this time.
Social media is a great way to learn about the seven (7) fraternities within the Interfraternity Council. Each chapter has their social media listed on their individual webpages.
Access those webpages via the Interfraternity Council Interfraternity Council Main Page.
Each of the fraternities will recevie a call list of incoming students (including transfer and freshman) so be prepared to receive either a phone call, text message or email. If you would like to be removed from the list, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We encourage you to reach out to the chapters that you are interested in via email or social media.
No, currently five our of our seven IFC fraternities have a chapter facility. The following chapters have facilities: Beta Theta Pi, Delta Upsilon, Phi Delta Theta, Sigma Alpha Epsilon and Sigma Phi Epsilon. It is important to note that all of our Greek housing facilities are OFF campus and are NOT under the control of the university. Each facility has a local housing corportation board of directors that answer to a national board of directors for their respective organization.
