NIAR and NCMS pioneer revolutionary KC-135 sustainment program

June 26, 2023 — Wichita State University’s National Institute for Aviation Research and the National Center for Manufacturing Sciences announce supporting partnerships with the U.S. Transportation Command and the U.S. Air Force Air Mobility Command to establish a KC-135 Stratotanker innovation testbed in Wichita.

Wichita State filmmakers explore aftermath, trauma of 1965 plane crash

June 13, 2023 - On June 25, the 80-minute documentary film “The Silent Cries of Unheard Ghetto Children” will debut at Piatt Park. The documentary examines the aftermath of the 1965 plane crash in the neighborhood near the Wichita State University campus.

June 2, 2023 — Dr. Elizabeth King, president and CEO of the Wichita State University Foundation and Alumni Engagement (WSUFAE), announced today her intention to retire in six months after a national search to fill her position is conducted.
