Kimberly Engber, Ph.D.
Head of Transfiguration department, Headmaster of Hogwarts
Dr. Engber serves as dean of the Cohen Honors College. She is responsible for college
strategic planning and development, academic affairs, budget management, and alumni
and external relations. In consultation with the University Honors College Council
and faculty fellows, she oversees Honors teaching, curriculum development, and academic
program evaluation. She works with the assistant directors on recruitment and retention
strategies and Honors Baccalaureate advising and development as well as increasing
campus-wide applications to the undergraduate research grants program and competitive
national scholarships and fellowships.
Heidi Bell
Fighter of the Dark Arts
Dr. Heidi Bell has an established interdisciplinary line of research in clinical exercise physiology and orofacial function. She is internationally recognized for her work in promoting healthy tongue muscle performance through physical activity. Dr. Bell has coordinated a professional networking system between the medical and health & fitness industries within the Greater Wichita Community. She is the owner/partner and CEO of three companies, each conceptualized through HPL. Dr. Bell is also recognized as an innovative entrepreneur and mentors aspiring entrepreneurial leaders. Her newest role is as Associate Dean in the Cohen Honors College. We hope she hasn't been kidnapped and replaced with a shape changer.
Trish Gandu
Reporter, Biographical author, Gossip Correspondent for the Daily Prophet
Trish manages incoming student scholarships and scholar programs, coordinates the Honors Living Learning community, and manages recruitment and outreach. She serves as the first point of contact for Honors admissions, housing and scholarship questions and works with the student director of recruitment to increase Honors enrollment and impact across campus.
Jessica Raburn
Sorting Hat
Jessica manages Honors advising and serves Honors students through advising appointments and walk in hours. She facilitates Honors applied learning, coordinates the campus-wide undergraduate research grants program, and works with faculty and the dean to increase applications to competitive national scholarship and fellowships. Jessica earned her AA in General Studies and BA in Social Work from Wichita State and her Master of Library Science from Emporia State University. She is currently pursuing graduate work in Higher Education Leadership.
Madelyne Toney
Department of Magical Law Enforcement, among other stuff
Madelyne provides direct support to the Dean as well as general administrative support to Honors faculty and staff. She ensures a smooth and professional operation of the College office during day-to-day supervision of student workers. She coordinates and oversees events on and off campus, implements and revises office procedures as needed and oversees the college budgets.
