Summer Camp Dates Announced
WICHITA, Kan. – Shocker Bowling will be hosting four camps over the course of the summer. The camps will be located on campus at the Rhatigan Student Center.
The first Youth Weekend camp will be held June 19-22 and will be a boys only camp. The second Youth Weekend camp will be held July 24-27 and will be open to both boys and girls. Each of these camps offer training on lane play, the physical game, sports psychology and bowling equipment. All meals and lodging are included for the campers as they will stay in the brand new, $70 million Shocker Hall dorms.
The third camp of the summer is the Youth Day camp, which will be held July 8. This camp’s primary focus is physical game, with some discussion on lane play, sport psychology and spare shooting.
The final camp of the summer is the Nuts & Bolts camp and will be held August 1-2. This camp includes all of the same on-lane and classroom training as the Youth Weekend Camp, just without all of the frills. Lunch is included both days.
All camps will take place at Shocker Lanes in the basement of the recently renovated Rhatigan Student Center (RSC). The RSC just completed a $35 million renovation of the whole building.
