FS-01.01 – Facilities Services Maintenance

Purpose
To ensure the effective, timely, and consistent maintenance of university facilities in support of a safe, functional, and high‑quality campus environment.

Policy Statement
Facilities Services provides two categories of maintenance support:

  1. Routine Maintenance Services
    Routine maintenance includes repairs and services necessary to sustain normal building operations. Requests must be submitted via the online work order system. If assistance is needed submitting the form, contact the Facilities Services service desk at 978-3444.

  2. Departmental (Chargeable) Service Requests
    Work performed on departmental equipment or non‑standard departmental needs is chargeable and not supported by general‑use funds. Costs associated with this work, materials, labor, and overhead, are billed directly to the requesting department.

Implementation
Facilities Services will evaluate each request to determine service type, urgency, and appropriate response. Routine requests are processed in the order received unless an issue qualifies as an emergency, in which case it receives priority service. Departments must ensure complete and accurate information is provided to facilitate timely assessment and resolution.
