Our platform is built on the three pillars of Community, Transparency, and Resilience. Supporting over 25,000 students along their academic journey, it is our hope to be able to foster a campus life conducive to belonging and fellowship with peers, faculty, and alumni. Moreover, we desire to open pathways of communication between Student Government, administration, and students so as to nurture candid, upfront discussions of the most pressing matters in students' lives. Our administration will be dedicated to a demonstration of flexibility and dedicated pursuit of the responsibilities pursuant our office. We take seriously the value of education and fraternity and strive to make the most of every student that we interact with. A vote for Island-Raju is not just a step towards a campus that embraces students from all backgrounds in their pursuit of knowledge, but truly affirms the status of Wichita State as A Place For All of Us.

Our platform focuses on creating a more connected and student-first campus. We aim to  

• Increase Student Involvement: Expand events, workshops, and programs to get students involved. 
• Enhance Communication and Transparency: Provide updates on decisions, budgets, and initiatives while creating forums for students to share ideas.
• Advocate for Student Resources: Refocus funding toward programs that directly benefit students, ensuring every dollar is used effectively. 
• Accountability and Results: Track progress on initiatives and report back to students, making sure actions are measurable and impactful. 

We do not back down from challenges or tough conversations. Effective leadership requires speaking up, making difficult decisions, and taking responsibility for outcomes. We would be honored to earn your vote and help build a stronger, more connected WSU community.  

1. Sania Mohib: My platform is centered on representation, connection, and impact. I want engineering students to feel heard, supported, and confident that their concerns are being taken seriously. I plan to be an accessible and approachable Engineering Senator who actively listens to students and communicates their needs to Student Government. Whether it's academic challenges, campus resources, or student life concerns, I want to make sure engineering students know they have someone advocating for them. Another important part of my platform is building stronger connections withing the engineering community. College can feel overwhelming especially in demanding majors and I want to help create opportunities for students to socialize, collaborate, and feel included. Finally, I want to focus on making changes that actually matter. My goal is not just to hold a title but to help create meaningful improvements that positively impact students' everyday lives. By listening, communicating, and taking action, I hope to help make campus a place where engineering students feel represented and supported.
2. Erin Vance: My platform focuses on strengthening the connection between engineering students and student government through proactive communication, inclusive representation, and accountability. As an active member of the Engineering Council, SWE, and ASME, I am already in spaces where students share ideas, concerns, and aspirations for our college. I will use those platforms to intentionally gather feedback and ensure it is brought directly into student government discussions. Inclusive representation is also central to my platform. Through my involvement in the Society of Women Engineers, I have seen how meaningful it is when leadership actively supports women and other underrepresented students in engineering. I am committed to ensuring those perspectives are not only acknowledged but intentionally included in conversations that shape our college. Finally, accountability matters. Students deserve to know how decisions are made and how their input influences outcomes. I will prioritize clear communication and transparency so that engineering students can see the impact of their voices. My goal is simple: to make representation in the College of Engineering intentional, visible, and effective.
3. Kabir Bhakta: Increasing student engagement and their return on investment is a top priority of mine. I will work to strengthen campus involvement by supporting events, fostering meaningful connections among students, and improving communication between the student body and the Student Government Association. I will also advocate for more affordable course materials to help reduce the financial burden on students.
4. Andrew Beam: I would like to work with the incoming dean as well as the newly formed Engineering Council to help have student voices heard and for that to actually turn into positive change.
5. Matthew Phan: If elected, I would wish to improve or work through concerns related to advising, updating labs and course schedules, and push for greater transparency within the college’s budgeting process. I have extensive experience working with administrators, talking to legislators, and collaborating with fellow students to get things done. I am committed to ensuring that there is clearer communication between SGA and the student body, fostering student organization engagement and community, and holding myself and others accountable at Wichita State. 6. Ahmad Bassaleh: My platform focuses on strengthening communication and meaningful student representation within the College of Engineering. I aim to improve dialogue between students, faculty, and university leadership so student concerns are clearly understood and addressed. I will advocate for accessible academic support, effective course coordination, and professional development opportunities that prepare students for careers. By actively listening to student feedback and representing it constructively, I seek to promote transparent decision-making and create an engineering environment where students feel supported and engaged.

7. Alex Le: I intend to maintain a platform of stability, integrity, and unity with no intention of allowing partisanship to become prevalent in the Senate lest that partisanship result in the inability to deliver for the Association of students who attend Wichita State University.

1. Eiden Hinojosa: At your time here at Wichita State, you deserve programs that are built for you. But first, we must help build those programs, and as Senator, I will work to organize and prepare students for their future careers. Ensuring that a transition to new facilities, such as the new biomedical campus, is smooth and orderly. Student's must be involved in that conversation. Taking special attention to issues or ideas to improve Health Professions programs will be top of mind for me. Every student matters and I will work to advocate, and represent my fellow students to the best of my ability.

1. Ella Rundquist: My platform focuses on three priorities: strengthening mental health awareness and support, advocating for adult learners and improving access to campus resources. Every student deserves to feel supported, valued and set up for success.

1. Brayden Short: I'm running on the platform where students come first. Even though there are higher-up political factors and red tape that go into running universities, the basis of higher education is for helping students. I will always represent the little guy, as most of the time, they don't even realize the changes that occur around them at an executive, legislative, and judicial level. Students are my purpose, and their interests fuel my intentions.
2. Adán Parker: If elected, I will work on improving communication between the Student Government Association and the students we represent. I believe that students hold valuable insight regarding their own personal struggles, and it is up to Student Government to hear those concerns and act to resolve them.
3. Jamie Winslow: My platform is improving relations between students and other groups on campus. I have already engaged in this through my current initiative of creating a Police Advisory Board, to help increase relations between students/staff/faculty with the Wichita State University Police Department. I will work hard to ensure that community relations are the very best that they can possibly be.
4. Ryan Whalen: Being highly involved in student organizations, I want to give the most support to student organizations as possible. I additionally would like to highlight the student resources from Wichita State and the Barton School of Business that are available to students. I want to see Wichita State have a vibrant campus life and student organizations are an integral part of our university.

1. Ryan Taylor: My platform for SGA is to represent the student body's needs to my ability. I will do this by focusing on key issues amongst students and listening to my peers' suggestions in order to create a more representative government. I will push for a more accessible student government by increasing awareness about resources provided by SGA. Ensuring that all students have ample knowledge of what their student government is providing them. I will also push to maintain the civil rights of students across campus to the best of my ability. A position that remains ever important, considering the current political climate of Kansas. I want to contribute towards clarity within the SGA constitution by rewriting archaic bylaws. Leading to a reduction in bureaucracy that will improve the legislation process. I want to help divert more resources and legislative bills towards service groups and events on campus. Helping to improve the community around our campus. Lastly, I strive to lead within the Senate through collaboration with my other senators. Making sure to foster good relations with them to guarantee a productive and healthy legislative environment.
2. Kevin Dunn: I am running because representation should be active, not passive. LAS students deserve a senator who listens carefully, studies issues thoroughly, and approaches decisions with discipline. Too often, student government can feel distant from the students it represents. I want to help close that gap. Whether it involves academic concerns, communication between departments, or student engagement, I believe thoughtful advocacy makes a measurable difference. My platform pillars are:
   • Transparent Communication: Clear updates on Senate discussions, decisions, and initiatives affecting LAS students.
   • Student Engagement: Encouraging greater participation from LAS majors in university programs, committees, and events.
   • Institutional Accountability: Ensuring student concerns are taken seriously and addressed in a timely, professional manner.

3. Amanur Rahman: Stronger Student Representation I want to ensure that students from all departments within the Liberal Arts and Sciences feel heard and represented. This means actively listening to concerns, increasing transparency in Senate decisions, and improving communication between students and university leadership.

   • Academic Support & Accessibility As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, I see firsthand the academic pressures students face. I will advocate for expanded academic resources, clearer communication about opportunities, and policies that support the success of both undergraduate and graduate students. I especially want to emphasize organizing more conferences and research competitions to encourage Liberal Arts and Sciences students to become more actively involved in research.
   • Campus Engagement & Inclusion I believe every student should feel connected to campus life. I will support initiatives that strengthen student organizations, encourage cross-department collaboration, and promote an inclusive environment where all students feel valued.

4. Braeden Miller: My goal is to continue to serve low-income and first-generation students like myself in addressing obstacles and barriers to higher education. I also seek to serve the student body in the pursuit of applied learning and research experiences to prepare students for pursuing professional opportunities post undergraduate degree.

    

5. Josh Mallard: My platform is with the continuation of all that I have worked on already, and bringing forward new initiatives. This will be my 5th term in SGA with the goal of enhancing academic life through making advising and graduating easier, ensuring when a department says that you can graduate with a certain credit you actually can. Holding departments accountable for signing you up for a class that you don’t actually need to take. As well as working on previous goals like a farmers market, continuing my no-smoking initiatives, and working on continuing connections between outside organizations and their certification process (a friend of mine started this and I want to continue it for them!)

    

6. Case Brown: I plan to work with my fellow Senators on a variety of issues, including (but not limited to):

   • Standing up for what we know: diversity is a strength, and inclusion is non-negotiable.
   • Promoting transparency in student government processes and decisions.
   • Encouraging senators to seek out input from the students they represent.

    

7. Grace Naylor: Connection, Integrity, and Inclusion are the main goals for the term. Connecting students with resources, maintaining integrity within the Association and university, and including the voice of student body on all decisions made.

    

8. Alani Bland: My platform focuses on strengthening student voices and improving communication. I plan to engage directly with students through open conversations and consistent outreach to better understand their experiences. I am committed to bringing those concerns into Student Government discussions and advocating for solutions that reflect the needs of the student body.

1. Zainab Tariq: My platform would be focused on three key areas:

• • Mental health and Inclusivity resources for students - Increasing awareness of resources available on campus and advocating for initiatives that create engagement with the student body and aid them actively.
  • More robust Alumni and Industry connections - Advocating for better mentorship opportunities for students, particularly international students who face a different set of issues, and the creation of more networking events in and outside of campus.
  • Creation of “Third Spaces” - Advocating for student events not limited to cultural or society gatherings, but opportunities for relaxation and networking more broadly, so students are not limited to their echo-chambers and comfort zones.

1. Ashly Artiaga Sevilla: My platform is centered on connection, communication, advocacy, and transparency. First, I want to strengthen connections among out-of-state students by encouraging more intentional community-building opportunities and partnerships across organizations. Building community helps students feel supported and increases retention and engagement. Second, I aim to improve communication about campus resources. Many students are unaware of the services, scholarships, and support systems available to them. I want to ensure information is clear, accessible, and actively shared. Third, I will advocate for policies and initiatives that support academic success, campus safety, and student well-being. Finally, I am committed to promoting transparency within Student Government so students understand how decisions are made and how they can be involved. Wichita State has given me opportunities to grow into a leader and future engineer. I am ready to give back by serving with integrity, dedication, and a genuine passion for creating a campus where every out-of-state student feels welcomed, valued, and empowered to succeed.

1. Ismail Saeed: I'm centered heavily on equity and access. As a TRIO alumn from an immigrant family who also called Wichita State home, I am committed to strengthening resources for underserved, first-generation, and limited-income students. I hope to expand resources for mental health, increase transparency behind decisions that impact students, and build stronger connections between the Student Government and underrepresented campus communities. Every single student here, regardless of ethnicity, nationality, age, or any aspect of identity, deserves representation and a voice! College is a transformational and tumultuous experience, and everybody should be heard during it.

1. Caiden Berry: My platform focuses on strengthening student involvement within the College of Applied Studies and across campus. I aim to create more opportunities for students to engage, connect, and be represented, while making sure everyone knows the resources available and where to turn for support. I am dedicated to making sure every student’s voice matters. and acted upon.
