Fellow Presents Research at Annual ASM Meeting
A GK-12 graduate student fellow made poster presentations of her research at the 107th General Meeting of the American Society for Microbiology in Toronto Canada in May. Ingrid Caton attended the conference to defend her thesis work, along with Dr. Schneegurt. Her main presentation was on the molecular analysis of nitrogenase gene abundance in priarie steams with different levels of nitrogen loading. Ingrid was also listed on a poster presentation on the microbial community at the Great Salt Plains of Oklahoma, contributing rRNA gene clone library data. This abstract included another GK-12 graduate fellow, Brooke Landon.
