Fellows Present at Annual National GK-12 Meeting
WSU GK-12 fellows Ingrid Caton and Brooke Landon attended the gathering of GK-12 participants
in Washington, DC. Ingrid presented a poster about her thesis research on nitrogen
fixation in prairie streams during a special pre-session held at NSF in Arlington.
Dr. Schneegurt and the fellows joined hundreds of GK-12 fellows, teachers, and PIs
at the Renaissance Hotel to network, discuss practical issues, and hear speakers that
included the Director of NSF. The GK-12 fellows also presented a poster about the
Pass Me the Salt Program to the meeting participants. This was an enjoyable and enriching
experience for everyone. There was a good deal of benchmarking and new contacts were
made.
