CSD Outstanding Alumni Award
The CSD Outstanding Alumni Award is given annually to our alumni who have shown outstanding achievement in the professions of speech-language pathology and audiology. Nomination letters should detail the nominee's qualifications for the award and include their curriculum vita. Additional letters of support are optional, but appreciated. Submit nominations to csd@wichita.edu by October 1.

2012: Joanna Wyckoff, MA
Joanna Wyckoff, MA, CCC-SLP has been selected as the recipient of the 2012 WSU Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders Outstanding Alumni Award. She completed her Master of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Wichita State University in 1981.
Ms. Wyckoff is Supervisor of Speech-Language Pathology/Audiology at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS. She has been a longtime member of the Kansas Speech-Language-Hearing Association (KSHA), where she has served as Chair of the Hospital and Clinical Practice Committee. She has also served on the faculty of the Haysville Public School system.
In various years, she has received awards for Continuing Education from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) in recognition of her work. She also served as a member of ASHA's Special Interest Division over Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders, as well as Voice and Voice Disorders.
Continuing Education
Continuing education clock hours are pending approval for Kansas licensed audiologists
and speech-language pathologists by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
