Our President would also like to participate with these historical institutions in
service projects, such as
G Assisting the Aviation museum in program development and building renovation
G Assisting Cowtown with events and maintenance
G Any other ideas are welcome
Opportunities for involvement:
G Campus Anthropology museum would use volunteers in preparing and moving some pieces
for upcoming exhibit

G Volunteers needed for high school History Day: contact Dr. Price
G Living History workshop (March 13)
G State Historic Preservation Conference (April 29-30 in Wichita)
G What can I do with a degree in history? workshop for undergraduates (produced with
Phi Alpha Theta; date undecided, possibly April 2004)
February event
G Mid-America All Indian Center cultural event (February 23)
G We plan to meet before the event for a brief meeting

We ask that all SPH members pay their dues so we can have the funds necessary to participate in FANTASTIC experiences and field trips

1) Historic Preservation Association meeting held in Wichita, KS--April 18, 2004
2) Anthropology Museum exhibit opens--3rd week April (contact Ben Matthaei for more

3) we are in the process of planning March's activity; we would like to hold a social
