Carlos Vecar

Originary from Veracruz, Mexico, Carlos has a degree in Theatre by Universidad Veracruzana.
He has complemented his training in institutions like the American Academy of Dramatic
Arts in New York and Juniata College in Pennsylvania. He has collaborated in over
thirty stage and film projects as an actor, producer and makeup artist. He has also
been a part of the planning and logistics of artistic events of Universidad Veracruzana,
like the World Theatre Day Festival. In 2016, he received the City’s Youth Award by
Veracruz’ City Hall. Previously, he worked for the Veracruz Secretariat of Culture
as a cultural promoter of popular art.
Currently, Carlos is a faculty member of the Theatre Department of Universidad Veracruzana,
teaching courses like Analysis of Teaching Practice, Theatre Production and Marketing,
School Theatre, Stage Makeup and Intro to Musical Theatre. He is also a faculty member
of the Center of Theatre and Culture A.N.D.A. District Veracruz, by the National Actor’s
Association, teaching courses like Intro to Theatre, Theatre History, Stage Directing,
Acting, Improv, among many others.
