Join the Ultra Pilot
Are you an early adopter? Do you want to have more time to learn Ultra before it gets here? Do you simply like knowing things before the rest of the pack? Then the Ultra Pilot Program is for YOU. Here's what you need to know:
- Currently, the Ultra Pilot Program is in its early phase. Yes! That means we are in
the Ultra Pilot Pilot Program! The Ultra PPP will run until Summer 2021, at which
point it will become simply the Ultra Pilot Program.
- The Ultra PPP is being run inside WSU's Blackboard Test environment. This is a different system from the one that runs your classes.
- If you choose to participate, you will be given an account in our Test environment. You will also receive as many development shells as you like (we start with 1 each), and you are enrolled in a course as a student so you can test things out from the student side. We can also provide you with Ultra environments for organizations.
- You will be invited to a monthly meeting of our Ultra PPP's. This meeting takes place in Zoom on the third Friday of each month at 2:00pm Central.
- To join the Ultra PPP, simply send an email with the request to OIR@wichita.edu. This program is open to any WSU-associated person including staff, faculty, adjuncts, and GTAs.
- Starting in Summer 2021, we will enter the Ultra Pilot Program phase. If you choose
to be part of this phase of our pilot program, you will be provided a development
shell or shells for you to use to design your Fall 2021 courses. You can choose to
offer all of your Fall courses in Ultra or start smaller with one or two. It's up
to you!
- If you choose to participate, you will be offered a great deal of training in how to transition your class to Ultra including how to use any of the tools or services we have available to support you. We can also provide you with Ultra environments for organizations.
- We will run an optional monthly meeting with all of our Ultra Pilot Program participants, so you can ask questions, figure things out, and be part of the group. At this time, these meetings are scheduled in Zoom on the third Friday of each month at 2:00pm Central.
