iPads as whiteboards in Zoom

You can use your iPad in a Zoom call to make using the whiteboard feature easier.  Set it up like this:

  1. Run your Zoom meeting from a Mac laptop.
  2. Select "share screen" in Zoom and select "iPhone/iPad" as the source.
  3. Activate AirPlay on your iPad, select the name of the Zoom meeting (which will be listed in the "Share Screen" window in the meeting.)
  4. Click the"Share Screen" icon at the bottom of your Zoom screen and choose the "Whiteboard" option, or if you prefer you can also choose an app that allows whiteboard use on your iPad (eg: OneNote, Blackboard markup tools in grading, etc.)
