Winding Down: With only two events left in the regular season, the Shocks made their way to Fairview Heights, Ill. and Belleville, Ill. for the McKendree Baker Challenge, hosted by McKendree University.
Shocks History: Last year at the McKendree Baker Challenge, the Lady Shocks took home the title and the Shocker men fell in the championship match, finishing second.
Schedule & Format: This tournament features 40 Baker games, 24 on Saturday and 16 on Sunday. After the qualifying games, the field is cut to the top eight varsity teams to compete in a best two-of-three, single elimination, Baker bracket.
How to keep up: Follow the Shockers’ scores on their Facebook (/shockerbowling) and Twitter (@shockerbowling) for periodic score updates when they are available!
Shocker Travelers: Back on the lanes this weekend are Sydney Brummett, Estefania Cobo, Ashlyn Herzberg, Hollyann Johansen, Kristie López, Kayla Ovesny, Laura Plazas and Brooke Woodard. For the men, Brandon Biondo, Bradley Crouse, Kamron Doyle, Packy Hanrahan, Mitch Hupé, Wesley Low, Doug Wagner and Justin Zwaschka will take the lanes over the weekend.
Looking Forward: The Shocks take no days off, as they travel right away next weekend to conclude their regular season at the Hoosier Classic in Indianapolis. After that, they wait for their sectional assignment in one of four sectionals - Dallas, Texas, Smyrna, Tenn., Addison, Ill. or Stratford, N.J.
